Hello,
I'm under strict instruction from management to get blogging. I really am rubbish at it aren't I? Someone emailed the band once to say that he sensed I was finding it difficult, and It's true, I can't deny it. Anyway he suggested I just share with you a few of my favourite records or books or films when I don't have much else to say. So, I've decided to do just that if you don't mind.
SPOOKS (TV program's about spies)- I'm currently making my way through the second series box set. It's very exciting you know, so much so it leaves me with an upset tummy sometimes.
SKEETER DAVIS (American country singer)- She makes it into my top 10 female singers of all time list.
SPACE RAIDERS (snack) - pickled onion ones are the best!

I'm bored now and I have to go for a meeting with the group so we'll talk later ok?

Gavin's new DJ Night

I have a new night starting in Bar Bloc, Bath St, Glasgow on Mondays.
Its free, running from 9pm-1am, and i'll be playing a superfine selection of classic and current records for your listening pleasure, so, if you're in the area, pop in and have a tincture and enjoy some good music.

Redecorating is the new Rock 'n' Roll.

It must be catching, after Tracyanne's painting extravaganza the other week, i've spent the last couple of weeks redecorating. I decided to move bedroom in my flat, which meant a new look was required in my bedroom to be. Paint was acquired along with some new brushes and a large dose of enthusiasm. The enthusiasm ran out around the same time as the paint. (Handy hint here: if you decide to take advantage of B&Q's bargain corner paint, which has been reduced cause they aren't going to stock it anymore, make sure theres enough to cover your walls so you dont run out and then can't get anymore cause they dont stock it anymore). After THREE coats of vinyl matt (i ran out a second time, but at least i could get the same colour again that time) Three coats of gloss (aye, i ran out of that as well, same story, bought the last tin of really expensive reduced paint and couldn't get it anymore). I always remember how much i hate painting just AFTER i start a new project, and i'm stuck with it till its all finished. However, it was all worth the effort, and the new bedroom is looking fantastic. I even sanded the floorboards down and varnished them. The best bit of all is that the next part of the project was that i could turn the old room into a music room. LOTS of fun. Now instead of having various pieces of musical equipment lying all around the flat, they are all in the music room, with a place to be sat in, or a table to be set up on. Now all i need is somewhere to actually sit down in it and we're laughing.

does your mother know?

So we're having a wee party in Tracy's living room with our Swedish friends who have the tightest jeans in Britain and we are listening to ABBA. We played Super Trouper in Sweden when we played two shows there a few months ago and it was such a pleasure and not very much like ABBA. What a band.
ABBA was the first CD I ever owned because I went to Hungary when I was ten, singing with a choir (oh the irony)and as a leaving present they gave me a cosmetic bag, a bottle of wine (which i didn't drink myself)and ABBA Gold.

Gold indeed...
